A number of easyJet flights due to depart from Gatwick Airport on Sunday evening (December 29) are 'now unable to operate as planned', the airline has said.
It comes after the UK's main air traffic control provider, Nats, said temporary restrictions would continue on Sunday because of low visibility at airfields caused by foggy conditions.
The recent chaos follows two days of disruption at the UK’s busiest airports, with Saturday’s flights at Stansted Airport affected by the murky conditions, while live departure boards showed numerous delays at Heathrow, Luton, Gatwick and Manchester Airports.
Tens of thousands of passengers saw their Christmas travel disrupted as thick fog descended on airports from London and Cardiff to Edinburgh and Teesside.
