A road in Whalley Range has been closed by emergency services after reports of a collision said to involve four cars. One of the cars is said to have ended up on top of one of the others involved.
Both then came to rest against a lamppost, which was also damaged in the smash. There were no reported injuries. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said there was no one in either of the cars involved when fire crews reached the scene.
They were an Audi, two BMWs and a Toyota Yaris. The M.E.N. has contacted Greater Manchester Police for details. Fire crews were called to Wilbraham Road in Whalley Range at just after 6pm on Wednesday night.
