Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Maisie Smith has revealed she went on the Channel 4 show to inspire "other young girls". Former EastEnders star Maisie, 21, is one of 14 celebrities faced with a brutal selection course run by the elite team of ex-special forces operators - Chief Instructor, Rudy Reyes and his team of Directing Staff (DS), Foxy (Jason Fox), Billy (Mark Billingham) and Remi Adeleke.
Speaking ahead of the new series, which is the longest yet and airs on Sunday 4 September at 9pm, Maisie has discussed why she decided to sign up as well as her preparations for the show.
Talking about joining, Maisie said: "I have nothing to prove but I kind of went in hoping that I would inspire young, small women that we're just as strong as anyone else, as any of the big, strong men. "It felt quite empowering that I was the youngest one there.
I came out of it feeling stronger than I've ever felt. I felt like I definitely did what I came there to do to inspire other young girls." She added: "I'd seen the show and I remember watching it thinking, 'Wow.
