Married At First Sight UK star Sacha Jones has opened up about losing ‘the best thing that ever happened to her,’ her beloved white cat, Diego.The star, who married Ross McCarthy on the show, revealed that her beloved cat passed away in the early hours of this morning after being ill for some time.

Sacha revealed Diego was due for scans before his passing and shared that she wished she had pushed for them sooner. In an Instagram post, paying tribute to her pet with a number of pictures and videos, the 29-year-old penned: “At 3am this morning I lost the best thing that ever happened to me.” “He was due in for scans and tests today as he’s been ill for awhile and tried various different meds but now I will never fully know why he passed," she wrote.

Yesterday they just put him on fluids then at 1am I heard him scream out in agony. I took him emergency vet but there wasn’t much they could do so I brought him home and he took his final breath in my arms.
