Tim Gromie, a contestant on the latest season of Married At First Sight Australia, is concerned that the show may harm his professional reputation following the airing of the first episode. The PE teacher was paired with Katie Johnstone and sparked outrage among viewers with his behaviour on the show.
In the episode, Katie shared her past experiences of rejection and her desire to start anew after a decade of being single. Despite describing himself as "too nice" and not particular about physical appearance, Tim expressed disappointment and disinterest in Katie, saying she wasn't his "usual type".
He was caught complaining to a producer off-camera, stating: "Totally not what I wanted. Not good." "I normally go for short, petite, blonde or brunette.
Katie's nothing like what I usually go for. There's just no attraction. I can tell straight away," reports the Mirror. Tim is allegedly unhappy about the footage being broadcast and has deleted his social media accounts to distance himself from the show.
