MAFS model Brad Skelly sensationally axed from show after 'controlling' behaviour towards wife Shona

Married At First Sight star Brad Skelly was axed from the E4 show following his "controlling and coercive" behaviour. Producers at the programme became concerned by Brad's actions towards his wife, Shona Manderson, after some tense scenes.The move comes after scenes last week, which appeared to show Brad telling Shona to "shut up." Twenty seven year old Brad, also claimed that he "allowed" his new wife to feel all of the emotions that she wanted to, as their relationship had hit a few bumps in the road recently.Those distressing scenes ended up with domestic violence charity Women's Aid making a statement, and it appears that the reality show's producers have come to a decision over Brad's future.

A show source has told The Sun: "The relationship with Shona was getting toxic. Bosses stepped in before the situation got out of hand.” In some emotional scenes that have not been aired yet, expert Paul Carrick Brunson tells both Brad and Shona, 31, that they need to leave the experiment.

A Channel 4 spokesperson told OK!: "The couple’s exit plays out in the show. It was agreed alongside experts Paul, Mel and Charlene that the intensive Married at First Sight environment was not working for the couple and it was the right time to leave the experiment.The relationships on Married at First Sight UK are closely monitored off screen, by production and an independent psychologist.
