Ollie Locke has opened up about the most terrifying moment in his life, when his baby son Apollo was born prematurely and had to be rushed into A&E.The Made in Chelsea star, 36, is dad to baby twins Apollo Magnus Obi and Cosima Emily Bex, whom he and his husband Gareth welcomed via surrogate last year.
Speaking to EastEnders actor James Bye and Vogue Williams on the Boots presents Taboo Talk podcast, Ollie opened up about the Apollo's premature birth.
He said: "We got a phonecall at 4.30am after he was born was to say he wasn't doing very well. He was rushed from Durham to Sunderland blue-lit because he wasn't breathing. "It was one of those moments in life that you never want, you never want to have that phonecall.That was one of the hardest moments of my life." He then added: "When he got to Sunderland, the tube was put down into his throat and into his lungs and he looked and thought 'no thank you very much'.
He ripped it out and started to breathe normally." Ollie and Gareth's parenthood journey hadn't been an easy one, with their first surrogate heartbreakingly experiencing two miscarriages after undergoing embryo transfers.
