Måneskin‘s Damiano David has shared a cover of Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus‘ ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’.‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’, a country pop song with disco undercurrents, was originally recorded and released in 2018, issued under Ronson’s fifth studio album ‘Late Night Feelings’.Today (January 29), David released his cover of the song via Spotify‘s ‘Spotify Singles – Valentine’s Day Edition’ series – his latest release following the 2024 singles ‘Born With A Broken Heart’ and ‘Silverlines’, all taken from his upcoming debut solo album.David’s ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ sees him stripping back the song’s slick production in favour of a floor-stomping acoustic rendition.“It addresses love in its most complex form: passion, pain, and the diversity of those who experience this occasion,” David said about the song in a press statement. “Going beyond the surface and tackling the deeper complexity of love, without filters.”David also spoke highly of Ronson and Cyrus, praising both artists for digging into their musical roots for the original track, with Cyrus taking from her background in country music, and Ronson bringing his classic “vintage musical approach”.“I’m arranging this song by drawing on my own deep Italian musical roots, to give the track a Morricone-inspired sound.” Listen to it below. The Italian artist is set to hit the road later this year, having made his solo live debut in New York last October.
After the initial tour announcement, more dates were added due to “phenomenal demand”.Writing on social media, David said: “I’m absolutely blown away by your response to this tour so far.
