M56 at its junction with Altrincham Road at around 4am on Sunday following reports of a concern for welfare.A man had been spotted on the wrong side of the railings on the motorway bridge on the M56 at junction 3a close to where it becomes the A5201 Princess Parkway.The man came down after he was spoken and was taken to hospital.Traffic police closed one carriageway of the motorway and re-opened it a short time later.A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly before 4am on Sunday 31 January 2021, police were called to reports that a man was standing on the wrong side of a motorway bridge over the M56 near to Princess Parkway."Officers attended and the man was safely brought down.
