Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has tragically suffered another setback in his recovery from injury. The left-back, who joined United from Southampton in 2014, has faced fitness issues throughout his career at Old Trafford.
His first major injury came in Shaw's second season when he suffered a double leg fracture against PSV Eindhoven. Although the 29-year-old has had periods of sustained fitness, his career has been marred by recurring injuries.
Shaw has only made three appearances this season but seemed to be on the verge of a return, potentially competing with new £25m wing-back signing Patrick Dorgu.
However, the Mirror has reported that Shaw has suffered a setback in his recovery, which will further extend his time on the sidelines and add to his unfortunate injury history at United.
