Luigi Mangione’s alleged murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson almost went a lot differently.
Since the 26-year-old Ivy League grad was arrested on Monday, law enforcement officials have been trying to piece together his motives.
A large piece to solving that puzzle was the alleged manifesto he had on his person at the time of his arrest, which included a scathing assessment of the healthcare industry here in the US.
Thompson wasn’t specifically named, but Luigi said a killing “had to be done.” And that it was… As we know, Thompson was gunned down in the streets of New York last week.
