Lucy Letby conviction called 'major injustice' as expert panel say they 'did not find murders'

A panel of 14 neonatal experts 'did not find murders' as they examined the Lucy Letby case, it has been claimed. The 35-year-old’s legal team is continuing to pursue attempts to challenge her convictions for the murders of seven babies and the attempted murders of seven others at Manchester Crown Court.

Letby, from Hereford, was found guilty of attacking the tiny victims between June 2015 and June 2016, while she worked at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

But the conviction has come under scrutiny over the past year. Opening a press conference on Tuesday morning (February 4), veteran Conservative MP Sir David Davis described her convictions as ‘one of the major injustices of modern times’.

During the 70-minute conference, retired medic Dr Shoo Lee outlined his concerns about the evidence used to prosecute Letby.
