Lucy Kennedy and her rescue puppy Riley proved to be the ‘paw-fect’ partnership as they sniffed out a sizeable market share of viewers this week.
But the same time slot proved ‘ruff’ going for Doireann Garrihy whose returning RTÉ comedy show was something of a dog’s dinner, ratings wise.
Figures obtained by the Irish Mail on Sunday reveal that while more than 139,000 viewers tuned in to Lucy’s Puppy Problems on Virgin Media One on Tuesday from 9.30pm, the much-hyped The Doireann Project on RTÉ2, which started at 9.40pm on the same evening, attracted just 34,000 viewers.
