A 'loving' mother-of-six who had studied to become a lawyer died after becoming addicted to the drug spice. Nicola Little, 46, was described as 'pretty,' 'intelligent' and a dedicated mum.
But her life was later devastated by drug addiction which she could not overcome. An inquest heard Nicola, from Hull, died at the Crossings homeless hostel after taking a combination of drugs including Spice and high levels of methadone.
In a statement Nicola’s mum paid a moving tribute to her daughter, who had also been diagnosed with a rare blood condition. Her mum said: “Nicola has one brother who she remained very close to.
She as always sporty when she was younger and loved football, going to games with her dad and brother. Our relationship was strong but it could be difficult as she struggled with drugs.” Read more: Woman raped in Turkey told by UK Foreign Office to 'carry on' with holiday and 'enjoy it' Nicola, who had worked for Hull City Council as a housing officer and business support officer, tried to balance her work life with having six children while coping with the diagnosis of her blood condition.
