Love Island winners Kai and Sanam 'gutted' as they lose out on raising £14k for charity
ok.co.ukLove Island stars Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan are no doubt two of the nicest winners the villa has ever seen during its history, with much of their future planning since leaving the show focused on how they can use their new-found fame to help others.
But in a heartbreaking technical glitch this week, the couple lost out on a whopping £14,000 for their preferred charity, Barnardos, when an online auction selling off their villa finale outfits unexpectedly wiped the listings.The couple, both aged 24, had taken to eBay, one of the show’s key sponsors to run the auction, with the outfits racking up bids in excess of £7000 each!
However due to a technical glitch the listings were deleted from the site - along with all the bids. Unable to recover the original details, the couple took to Instagram to share their “devastation” at the loss of so much money for charity, with Sanam urging her fans and followers to please bid again to reach the previous total - or perhaps even surpass it.
Explaining the situation online, Sanam wrote: “So sadly we've had a little issue with our listings today on eBay which meant they were taken off.The issue has now been resolved and the auctions are live again. “We are very sad because the original bids have been removed meaning we need to start fresh.
