Love Island star Tasha Ghouri’s dad has issued a lengthy statement over vile ableist abuse his daughter has received. The model is the first deaf contestant to ever appear on the hit ITV2 dating show.
The 23-year-old wears a cochlear implant, a small electronic device that stimulates the nerve used for hearing, to help her hear.
Her dad Tarek hit out at trolls as he said his daughter "has an extra pressure no one seems to recognise". It comes after Tasha, who is now in a relationship with Andrew Le Page after asking him to be her boyfriend, was seen crying over a public vote in recent episodes.
