A Love Island star has revealed the emotional moment they broke down in tears after getting engaged. Greg O’Shea, who was crowned winner of the dating show in 2019 alongside Amber Gill, announced on Thursday, 2 January that he’d got engaged to his partner Jeanni Mulder - just over one year after the pair went public with their relationship.

In a heartwarming Instagram post, Greg, 29, shared a video of the moment that he got down on one knee to pop the question. In the video the TV personality and Jeanni could be seen excitedly counting down to the New Year before Greg got down on one knee to reveal the ring as soon as the clocks struck midnight.

In response, Jeanni beamed from ear to ear as she joined Greg on the floor.The pair shared a sweet hug before bursting into tears after she said ‘yes’.

Captioning the emotional clip, The 6 O'Clock Show presenter wrote: “3, 2, 1… special way to start the new year”. Meanwhile, in an equally heartwarming post Greg shared a series of snaps of himself alongside his new fiancée as they soaked up their new chapter.
