Love Island sparks 'fix' claims as Maya Jama announces names of winning couple

Over the last seven weeks, Love Island has given us plenty of dramatic moments, shock recouplings and savage dumpings, and in tonight's finale, one couple were crowned the winners.

As host Maya Jama whittled it down to just Josh and Mimii, and Ciaran and Nicole, the newly-single host revealed the winners were Josh and Mimii.The pair were left shocked by the announcement as they were hugged by their fellow finalists in the closing moment of the show.

As they tuned into the nail-biting finale, fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions as some fans claimed the show was a "fix".

One X user expressed: "Happy for Mimii and Josh but no way in hell did they deserve it over Ciaran and Nicole lol. Oh well. F**k Joey Essex #LoveIsland."
