Love Island star Tom Clare has revealed he has been involved in a car accident. The reality star, who rose to fame after starring on hit ITV2 dating show Love Island at the beginning of the year, updated his loyal followers about the incident and explained that the accident 'wasn't his fault'.

Tom, 24, who was previously a footballer, shared a candid snap to his Instagram Story on Thursday night which showed him relaxing on his bed with his feet up after the car ordeal.

He shared a glimpse of what happened by explaining that his car was now in the garage and that he'd have to drive a hire car until it was fixed.

Tom posted the snap online alongside a caption which announced the car accident. He wrote: "Ended up in a car accident this morning. "Wasn't my fault and luckily nobody was hurt.
