ITV2 have confirmed that our favourite binge-worthy TV show Love Island will make its return on June 6 at 9pm.The official Twitter page for the show read: "Here's your first hot date of the summer #LoveIsland is back Monday 6th June on @itv2 and @itvhub!" Fans of the show have since expressed their excitement at the news. "I’m so ready for Love Island to come back," wrote one person, as another said: "Countdown has begun". "This announces the start of summer!" penned another, while a fourth fan said they were "so unbelievably excited".

Speaking to OK! about the new Love Island villa, the 34 year old presenter said: "I’ve not seen the villa. I like to wait and see it on the first day and meet the Islanders for the first time, so I’m like a viewer seeing it for the first time, too.That’s my vibe… Or maybe it’s just me being a little bit lazy. “I know it’s got a fire pit because I talked about that in the trailer and I imagine if there’s more working out space it’ll be the sexiest series we’ve ever had.” In a teaser for the new season, Love Island branded itself as "number one".
