Love Island star Malin Andersson has admitted her daughter Xaya has given her renewed purpose after battling the “lowest points” in her life.

Malin, 30, who appeared on season two of the ITV dating show in 2016, shares 18-month-old Xaya with her ex-boyfriend Jared.The pair got together in 2021, but split just five weeks after their daughter's arrival.

While co-parenting comes with its struggles, Malin has described motherhood as “hard but so rewarding”. She told us: "Xaya is so funny and cheeky – she’s very switched on.

But it’s hard doing it on my own and coping with the lack of sleep. If I had a partner, we could take it in turns and work as a team.
