Joey Essex looks completely unrecognisable in a throwback snap alongside his former TOWIE co-star James 'Arg' Argent.The photo comes as Joey celebrated his birthday a day after he was dumped from the Love Island villa, just before the final.

The cheeky chappy from Essex returned to our screens this summer when he stepped into the Love Island villa as a surprising bombshell.

He quickly made his mark and sparked up connections with Harriett Blackmore, Samantha Kenny, and his ex Grace Jackson, before meeting his match with Jessy Potts.Things appeared to be going well for Joey and Jessy before they were dumped from the villa by their former islanders, just a day before the grand finale.

But it wasn't all doom and gloom as Joey had a birthday to look forward to on Monday, 29 July as he turned 34 years old.
