Love Island's Gemma Owen reacts to ex's arrival at the villa

It was Davide's 'loud' kiss with Ekin-Su that dominated the start of the evening, with fans pleading with showrunners on Twitter to turn the microphones lower. On realising that the mystery man sitting in the garden was her ex, she hid low down on the balcony and swore. Gemma explained that she and Jacques had dated for around eight months and broke up 18 months before entering the villa. "It's a bit weird, but I don't feel like I want to get back with him or anything," she said.
Gemma had previously recoupled with Luca, after enjoying a brief time coupled up with Davide. But it seems they're already off to a rocky start, with Luca's jealousy slowly simmering to a boil throughout the episode.
When asked about her feelings on Jacques' arrival by the other girls, Gemma admitted that: "I don’t know. It’s weird because I still look at him and I do fancy him like 100%. "I look at him and I think, 'You are fit, no question, you are fit'. "Although he admitted on his date with Afia that their break-up hadn't been the smoothest, the same conflicting feelings were also coursing through Jacques, and he soon made an revelation to the guys that did not help lift Luca's spirits.
