The decision was made by Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda, who in Wednesday's episode were told that they had been voted as the least compatible couple by the public and had been dumped from the show.
After show host Maya Jama delivered the news to the pair, she then shocked the Islanders - and the viewers at home - as she announced that one more couple would be leaving the show.
Maya then dropped the bombshell that Olivia and Maxwell would be deciding which couple to send home, before the episode ended on a cliffhanger.
