Love Island fans are convinced they've discovered a way of accurately predicting who will win the series ahead of Monday night's final.

Viewers have looked back at previous champions and noticed that the couple who stands to the left of the presenter during the big reveal are usually crowned the winners.

In previous years, Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay, Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey and Jess Hayes and Max Morley were all stood to the presenter's left in front of the studio audience before being announced as the winners. The theory worked for the most recent winners of the winter series of the show, when Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan won the £50,000 prize by standing to the left of host Maya Jama.

In total, the theory has been correct seven times. The only year it wasn't correct was in 2019, when Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea stunned the nation by winning after only 12 days of dating, pipping Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury to the post.
