Ed Sheeran

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (pronounced "plus"), was released in September 2011. It topped the UK and Australian charts, reached number five in the US, and has since been certified eight-times platinum in the UK.

The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John.

With less than a month to go until Love Island officially returns to our screens, fans have been anxiously counting down the days until the latest round of singletons hit the sandy shores in search of love.

Not one to disappoint, the show released a brand new trailer today to give a brief glimpse of what fun, sun and mayhem lies inshore for the lucky contestants.

Forgoing a traditional trailer, the show continued to be a pioneer for all things new and exciting as it released an animated one instead, with a variety of tongue in cheek references made throughout the one minute clip to remind viewers of why Love Island continues to sit a mile above it’s competitors.

Yet it was one particular detail that sent fans into a frenzy on Saturday, as the clip ended with a hilarious cameo of season seven’s Millie Court playing the keyboard.
