The Love Island talent show kicked off tonight on the ITV2 reality series, with the 2024 islanders putting their skills on display for the rest of the villa.

However, some fans were disappointed that Joey Essex didn't perform one of his vintage hits.Tuesday's episode saw the islanders leap into action after Reuben received a text reading: "Islanders, the spotlight awaits.Tonight, it’s your turn to shine at The Love Talent Show! #ShowUpAndShowOff #GetPractising." While Nicole started the show with a dance routine and Matilda whipped out her feet for a toe-based puppet show, Love Island fans couldn't wait to see what Joey Essex was going to do.The ex TOWIE star ultimately performed a Love Island-themed rap, which received a mixed reception from the other singles.

However, those at home were hoping that Joey would be singing his 2011 single Reem, which he recorded along with the rest of the cast about his titular catchphrase which is slang for something good.

Since his entrance into the villa, Joey's starring role in the music video has gone viral once again. "Joey could've just performed REEM.This was his actual chance to do something meaningful #loveisland," one fan joked.
