As week two of Love Island crept ever closer to it’s conclusion, there was more drama afoot on Thursday night when contestants Catherine Agbaje and Whitney Adebayo appeared to make Jess Harding cry while confronting her over her “mean girl” behaviour. The duo had tried to approach Jess over a recent exchange with Molly Marsh, as they believed she considered Molly two-faced, something Jess had resolutely denied.

As the two women tried to explain why they had come to that conclusion after comments she had made and behaviour that had taken place during a recent challenge, Jess soon felt cornered by the conversation and wanted it to stop.

Feeling as though she was being attacked, Jess soon broke down in tears and left the two women to step back from the situation as she confessed it was “Stressing her out”, but it soon became too much for the bubbly blonde as she broke down in tears and quickly retreated from the conversation.

Although Jess later admitted she was simply a “dramatic” person, fans at home were quick to share their theories about what exactly had taken place and why Whitney and Catherine were blameless in the entire situation as they had merely addressed an issue like adults. "Whitney wasn’t even the one who started the convo with Jess and yet Mehdi’s blaming her for Jess crying…" wrote one disgruntled fan. “Catherine and Whitney didn’t even say anything bad for Jess to start crying they didn’t even raise their voices for her lmao,” commented another.
