Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Love Island fans gobsmacked as Danica admits she's never heard of Princess Anne
ok.co.ukIn Saturday 23 July night’s episode of Unseen Bits of the hit ITV2 show Love Island, the Islanders were seen having a chat about the Royal Family and Danica Taylor admitted to “not knowing” who Princess Anne is.
The Unseen Bits episode often sees Islanders passing the many hours they have to kill in the villa and viewers get a glimpse of the somewhat random conversations that helps them pass the time.
This week saw Danica Taylor, 21, get into a Royal chat with fellow Islanders Indiyah Polack and Summer Botwe. The conversation began as the three girls were seen lounging on the beanbags by the pool, and Indiyah, 23, opened the conversation about the Queen as she said: “Imagine the Queen having like, a girls’ holiday”, then Danica joined in: “Imagine the Queen in a bikini”.
They went on: “It’s mad how she’s never had like, a girls’ holiday or gone to Ibiza.” Summer, 22, chipped in: “They just go to Sandringham,” as she explained to her pals that it is “one of their houses” after Indiyah asked where Sandringham is.The conversation then went on to the monarch’s children, Summer asked: “So, her children are Charles and Princess Anne, right?” A confused Indiyah then asked: “Ain’t Princess Anne her sister?” Summer responded: “No, she had a son and a daughter, it must be Princess Anne, because she’s a princess and she’s not as old.” Danica then joined the conversation, confessing: “I’ve never heard of Princess Anne. “I know Prince Charles is the one who looks a little bit stale.” Viewers rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts on the conversation.
