Love Actually's Thomas Brodie-Sangster has opened up about being bullied as a child due to his role in the popular film. Despite having an impressive career on both the big and small screen, the 34 year old actor is still best known by many for playing Sam in the 2003 romantic comedy.
He spent most of his time on screen with Liam Neeson, who played his character's father, Daniel. Although the movie gave Thomas the chance to work with some of the biggest names in British cinema, it seems his school friends were less than supportive of his early success.The actor was just 13 when the film was released, and he had to juggle school with his acting work.
In a recent interview, he revealed that his fellow students at the drama academy he attended showed signs of jealousy. However, he didn't let their attempts to pick on him get to him.
Speaking to the Telegraph, he said: "[The other pupils] would all ask where I'd been, and get a little jealous I got that much time off school.
