A drunken and "loutish" woman viciously attacked two of her neighbours in front of their young children. Shantell Featherstone bit a man on the arm during a bad-tempered confrontation in the street and later tried to grab his girlfriend by the throat, causing her to fall to the ground and chipping her front tooth.

Stephen Robinson, prosecuting, said that there had been no previous problems between the victims and Featherstone, and that she was normally friendly.
The man became aware of a commotion outside in the street and saw that Featherstone was arguing with another neighbour. He went to investigate and there was a confrontation between him and Featherstone.
