Louis Tomlinson takes high road when asked about One Direction ‘beef’ after Liam Payne’s comments

It was only a matter of time before Louis Tomlinson was asked for his thoughts on Liam Payne’s claims of a One Direction ‘beef’ and, well, that time has come. Strip That Down singer Liam raised eyebrows, earned side-eye and left fans jaw-dropped after his most recent interview, in which he spoke of his ‘dislike’ for Zayn Malik, claimed a fellow 1D star threw him against the wall, and said the entire group ‘started with [his] face’.

The rest of One Direction – Louis, Zayn, Harry Styles and Niall Horan – have naturally kept their thoughts quiet on their former bandmate’s bombshell revelations.

However, Louis was pressed about it in his recent interview and decided to take the high road. The Walls singer appeared on Australia’s The Project on Wednesday and chatted to hosts Peter Helliar and Carrie Bickmore, who brought up the ‘bit of 1D beef’.

Louis stopped them in their tracks and said: ‘Oh, so the fishing’s begun already. Yeah, I see what you’re doing. No listen, I’m immensely proud, as I know Liam is.
