Louis Theroux slams Tiger King for not focusing more on animal rights issues

mirror.co.ukLouis Theroux has criticised the Netflix series Tiger King after being one of the first to interview its star Joe Exotic. The documentary maker, 49, said the show should have focused more on animal rights than the craziness surrounding Joe and the other big cat zookeepers in the US.
He interviewed Joe - whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage - back in 2011 for his BBC show America’s Most Dangerous Pets.
Speaking on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show with Zoe Ball on Wednesday, Louis said that while he did enjoy the show, he thought there should have been more background to the poor treatment of the tigers.
