Louis Theroux has opened up about undergoing a semi-permanent cosmetic treatment to have his eyebrows tattooed on after shaving them off amid his ongoing alopecia journey.The documentary maker, 53, took to Instagram on Thursday to update his 1.1 million followers about his alopecia as shared snaps of his newly-tattooed eyebrows and admitted he's "happy to have his old face back." The TV star previously shared his shock at the fact the hair had been falling out due to alopecia back in 2022.
At the time, Louis noticed his beard was beginning to grow patchily. Writing back then, Louis confessed that he suspected the cause was 'probably alopecia', something he has since confirmed.
Now sharing some snaps of his new eyebrows, Louis announced: "I realise there are much bigger things to worry about in the world but… a while ago I shared that my eyebrows had basically disappeared due to alopecia. "I received a lot of nice messages, some suggesting I try “microblading”, a form of temporary tattoo.
So that’s what I did! It took two sessions of a couple of hours. I’m happy to have my old face back. He continued: "The new brows are neater and more shapely than my 'real' ones were.
