The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed 2,551 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday. According to officials, this is a 20-fold increase in a month, up from 124 new Covid-19 cases reported on June 21.
It’s also a 40% increase just over the past 24 hours, when the daily count hit 1,821.Of the new cases, 83% are among people under the age of 50 years old.
