Two fathers have been accused of shooting each other's daughters during the course of a road rage altercation in Florida this week.  William Hale, 36, and Frank Allison, 43, have both been charged with attempted murder following a driving dispute that resulted in the two drivers allegedly firing shots at each other that struck the other person's daughter, WOFL-TV reported. The Nassau County Sheriff's Office says both parties were speeding and "brake checking each other" and seemingly were playing a "cat and mouse game" while driving erratically along US Highway 1 in Nassau County, Florida.

On Tuesday, Martinez stepped down from her role as council president in light of the outcry over her comments, which were secretly recorded in October 2021. But the pressure on Martinez, who was heard using a derogatory Spanish phrase to refer to the Black son of fellow councilmember Mike Bonin, was only building on Wednesday. Martinez, who represented Van Nuys and other areas of the San Fernando Valley, issued an 11-page statement on Wednesday, according to KNBC-TV. “It is with a broken heart that I resign my seat for Council District 6, the community I grew up in and my home,” she wrote. “And last, to all little Latina girls across this city – I hope I’ve inspired you to dream beyond that which you can see. While I take the time to look inwards and reflect, I ask that you give me space and privacy.”

An arrest has been made following the release of security footage showing a man forcefully walking a teenage girl before she was sexually assaulted in a Los Angeles bathroom, police said Wednesday.  The Los Angeles Police Department told Fox News an arrest has been made but could not confirm if the suspect seen on camera was the person in police custody. The incident occurred Tuesday at a park in the El Sereno neighborhood.  A suspect is seen with a teen girl in Los Angeles moments before she was sexually assaulted.
