Lorraine Kelly opened up about a 'heartbreaking' conversation she had with daughter Rosie after she returned to the UK. Rosie, 27, moved to Singapore when she was 22 years old - and while it started out as a six-month trip, she ended up staying for three and a half years before moving home in 2020.
However, as delighted as mum Lorraine would have been for her to return home, she had to have a sad talk with her about safety as she adjusted to life in the UK again.
The ITV presenter revealed she had spoken to her daughter about staying safe in public spaces after Rosie returned from Singapore before the first lockdown.
Speaking to the Be Honest podcast hosts, she said: “I had to have the conversation with her that I found quite heartbreaking actually, which was, this is not Singapore, you cannot walk home on your own.” She continued: “You know, you can't leave your drink in the bar.
