A mum who founded a Scottish homeless charity has been presented with a major award from Lorraine Kelly. Laura McSorley won the Women of the Year Kindness Award at the Women of the Year Awards.
Taking place on Monday October 11, Laura was recognised for setting up the 'Kindness Homeless Street Team.' Starting with just £5, the street team now provide hot meals and essential items to thousands of homeless and vulnerable people.It comes after viewers of Lorraine Kelly's eponymous ITV show voted for her to be recognised for all of her hard work and dedication.Members of Lorraine's team arrived at Laura's home in Glasgow with bagpipes to inform her that she was one of three finalists.She broke down into tears as Lorraine told her: "Wonderful.
