‘Lopez Vs. Lopez’ Adds Jaime Camil To Season 2
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin, Schmigadoon!) has joined the cast of NBC‘s Lopez vs. Lopez for Season 2 in a recurring role that highlights both his acting and musical skills.
Camil will portray Josué Consuelos, a charming personal injury attorney whose face is on billboards all over Los Angeles. Josué sweeps Rosie (Selenis Leyva) off her feet with romantic baladas he plays for her on his Spanish guitar, leaving George (George Lopez) seething with jealousy.
Lopez Vs. Lopez is a working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between. Starring the father and daughter duo George Lopez and Mayan Lopez—who co-created the series alongside Debby Wolfe—the series tells the story of a working-class, old-school Latino who moves in with his modern Gen Z daughter as they rebuild their dysfunctional relationship one argument at a time.
Brice Gonzalez, Matt Shively and Al Madrigal also star. Wolfe and George Lopez executive produce with Bruce Helford, Michael Rotenberg and Katie Newman.
