Loose Women viewers were left gobsmacked after one host made a toe-curling blunder live on air. During Thursday, 2 January’s show, the Loose Women panel were joined by Coronation Street legend Simon Gregson as he opened up about his 20-year battle with anxiety, including how he almost didn't go on the show after suffering a panic attack shortly beforehand.
However, following the candid conversation with Simon, fans were left in disbelief after host Sunetra Sarker made a huge gaffe as she introduced the next segment.
As she segued into a discussion revolving around Robbie Williams’ new biopic Better Man, the actress teased that she had an “important question” for the soap star. “Simon, before you go, we have one very important question that we need to ask you,” she said. “It’s so important, honestly, you might have a panic attack it's so important. “ In response to her comments, viewers at home took to X to express their disbelief over the transition. “Did Sunetra really just say that to Steve!? #loosewomen,” wrote one. “The host making fun of a panic attack #LooseWomen,” another added.
Meanwhile, a third wrote: “‘You might have a panic attack’. Did she really just say that to Simon Gregson after he opened up about having one before the show?” Prior to Sunetra’s comments, Simon, who is best known for playing Weatherfield’s Steve McDonald, bravely discussed his experience with anxiety. “It all came to a head in 2015, I kept having anxiety attacks, panic attacks,” he told the Loose Women panel. “Which is so bizarre because I've been having them all day today.
