Katie Piper, has received an outpouring of support from fans and friends after she revealed that she had to back off from her TV duties for a second consecutive week due to an adverse reaction following an eye operation.
Last week, the presenter informed that she'd undergone an "unexpected medical procedure." Piper's place on her ITV weekend breakfast programme was filled in by Good Morning Britain star Charlotte Hawkins last week and it seems like she will be stepping up again this week as Katie isn't well enough to return just yet.
A source told Mirror that the famed presenter, who survived a horrifying acid attack by an ex-boyfriend in 2008 leading to serious injuries and permanent scarring: "Katie had quite a bad reaction to this operation, which has left her feeling really poorly.
Much as she'd love to be back on the sofa on Saturday, at the moment it's just not realistic and she acknowledges this. She is concentrating on her recovery so that she can be back to her best as soon as possible.
