Loose Women panellist Frankie Bridge candidly discussed her mental health struggles, recalling a time recently when she was "in the depths of despair" as she said: "I was really crying." The Saturdays star, 36, is married to former professional footballer Wayne Bridge and they share two sons, Parker and Carter.

Frankie spoke to her co-star Kaye Adams on the third episode of Loose Women: The Podcast, where they discussed mental health, as well as ageing.

In the heart-to-heart, Frankie opened up on how she discusses her struggles with her young children: “It's a hard one because I feel like my answer should be that they know everything.

I feel like I should have had the conversation with them, that I do suffer with depression and anxiety, but I think it's a hard conversation to have with them because I don't know how much of it they really understand.” She elaborated on the nuances of explaining these struggles to her children: "I think the anxiety side they know about, because my youngest often talks to me about anxiety and that's quite an open conversation that we have but depression, I feel like is harder to explain." Revealing a raw, personal moment, Frankie recounted: "Actually my youngest caught me not that long ago in the depths of despair, on a day I was having a particularly bad day and I was just really, really crying.
