Loose Women star Charlene White was left with a "whirl of doubt" as she embarked on her latest career move. The 44-year-old first appeared on Loose Women as a guest panellist in 2020.

But she joined the cast as a permanent member the following year, after Andrea McLean's exit. However, it was a career move away from the hit ITV show that Charlene says filled her with initial "excitement".

Charlene, who started her career as a broadcast journalist at the BBC aged 24, recently wrote her own memoir. She expressed her joy, stating, "I genuinely couldn't have been happier that I had been entrusted to do something so monumental." However, Charlene also disclosed that she had to pause her writing to join 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, reports the Express, which subsequently led to missing a deadline from her publisher due to a dip in confidence.

Despite this setback, she conveys that she was able to "hide the wobbles" from those around her. She added: "When my head hit the pillow at the end of each day, my brain was a whirl of doubts that I could do it.
