A teary Denise Welch shared some touching memories about her late father, Vin, during a recent episode of Loose Women and revealed he had made a brief appearance alongside her in Coronation Street in the nineties.
After some chit-chat about recent happenings - such as England winning their first victory at the Euros 2024 against Serbia and Kate Middleton dazzling the nation with her presence at Trooping the Colour - conversation shifted to Father's Day on Loose Women.This lead to Denise then opening up about her own experiences with her dad, Vin, who sadly passed away in late September, 2021.
As the team, including Dame Kelly Holmes, Linda Robson and Kaye Adams, began discussing "What makes a good dad?", Denise moved everyone with a sweet revelation that accompanied a heartwarming photo of her and her father on the set of Coronation Street, stating: "He was in Corrie for one episode." Devoted Coronation Street fans might recall that Denise joined the show as Natalie Horrocks, a divorcee who ended up having an affair with Kevin Webster, leading to tensions with his wife Sally Webster, reports the Mirror.
Aside from that storyline, Natalie was also noted for her relationship with Desmond Barnes. Unfortunately, their wedded bliss was cut short when he was tragically killed while trying to protect his stepson Tony from drug dealers.
