Loose Women panellists Coleen Nolan and Denise Welch have opened up about having an abortion following the US Supreme Court's decision to overturn abortion rights.

The decision to make abortion illegal in America sparked global outrage with ongoing protests in court. Since the decision, women across the world, including celebrities, have shared their own stories of terminating their pregnancies, something that is their right.

ITV panellists, Coleen and Denise spoke about the difficult decisions they faced when they found out they were pregnant. Aged only 16 at the time and raised by Irish-Catholic parents, Coleen, from Blackpool said she realised she was with child six weeks into the pregnancy. Coleen revealed that after the procedure she was asked to stay overnight but had to sign out and go home. "I wasn't allowed to stay out overnight aged 16," she said. "So I had to sign out and I had to go home.
