pubs and restaurants have been adjusting a ‘new normal’ after they were given the green light to reopen indoors from today. Indoor hospitality, such as bars, restaurants and cafes, will be allowed to welcome back punters for the first time since they were ordered to close back in March.
The Scottish Government felt comfortable in allowing pubs to reopen their indoor areas once again as the number of deaths and new cases of the virus continues to plummet.
Regulars were the first to descend on their favourite pubs as some opted to open their doors again as early as this morning.
Alan Bannerman, the landlord at famous Dundee pub The Phoenix, said he was unsure on what sort of day lay ahead of him when he welcomed customers back today.
