A 'kind and gentle' man who attacked his 81-year-old mum after unwittingly using 'laced' cannabis and a dad snared by pedophile hunters when he tried to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex were just two of the criminals locked up this week as court cases concluded across Greater Manchester.
Jail terms were also handed out to two teenagers who launched three horrific, unprovoked attacks on a dad as he walked to work and a couple who ran a drug racket across south Manchester and Bolton.
Those put behind bars over the past seven days also include three conmen who sold dodgy fish 'unfit for human consumption' out of the back of a van and a gang who tracked down a woman fleeing from an arranged marriage.
