EXCLUSIVE: Jude Law‘s Riff Raff Entertainment has received “significant funding” via a new TV development deal with France’s Newen Connect.

Universal International Studios (UIS) has signed an exclusive deal with Home Team, the UK film and TV production outfit run by The End of the F***ing World exec Dominic Buchanan and Mogul Mowgli’s Bennett McGhee.

Brent Lang Executive Editor of Film and Media Katie Sinclair has been named the new head of development at Riff Raff Entertainment, the development and production company co-founded by Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law and creative partner Ben Jackson.   She joins from Blueprint Pictures, where her credits as a development executive include Martin McDonagh’s upcoming “Banshees of Inisherin,” which is seen as a major awards season player and will screen at both the Venice and Toronto International Film Festivals; “The Beautiful Game,” directed by Thea Sharrock; and Andrew Haigh’s “Strangers,” which stars Andrew Scott,  Paul Mescal, Claire Foy, and Jamie Bell. Sinclair has worked on “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” for Sony 3000 and Netflix. She has been heavily involved in sourcing and shepherding Blueprint’s slate of feature film projects. 

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media ReporterJude Law’s Riff Raff Entertainment landed a multi-million dollar injection from venture capital firm Calculus Capital, giving the production company a financial boost to hire additional executives and acquire new projects.Together with its newly inked first look deal with New Republic Pictures, the investment provides Riff Raff with significant firepower to bid on buzzy material and court writers across both sides of the Atlantic.Already, Riff Raff has appointed media executive Stephen Fuss as CEO to support the growth of the company across film and television production. Under Fuss’ new guidance, the company plans to imminently bring new staffers on board.Fuss, a former media attorney, previously oversaw the worldwide film and television division at a U.K.

Jude Law’s production company Riff Raff Entertainment has received a multimillion-dollar capital injection from investment firm Calculus Capital and its Calculus Creative Content EIS Fund, which will provide overhead for key new hires, along with the acquisition and development of new IP. Stepping in as the company’s CEO is Stephen Fusss, who was selected by the British Film Institute to oversee Calculus’ EIS Fund via his Stargrove Pictures in 2019.
