Lizzo's appearance as musical guest on Saturday Night Live went far beyond the typical song and dance. The Grammy winner touched off  a flood of emotion when she re-created a beloved piece of art as she paid homage to the famous Annie Lee painting Blue Monday in her performance of Break Up Twice.

The hitmaker, 34, wore a white slip as she sat on a bed in a set created to match the background of the painting.
