Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

being dragged by disability advocates on social media on Monday, Lizzo has responded to her use of an “ableist” lyric. Her statement comes after social media users nearly canceled her for the lyric: “Do you see this s- -t?

I’m a sp-z.”“It’s been brought to my attention that there are [sic] is a harmful word in my song ‘GRRRLS,'” the “Truth Hurts” songstress wrote on Twitter.“Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote derogatory language.

As a fat black woman in America, I’ve had many hurtful words used against me so I understand the power words can have (whether intentionally or in my case, unintentionally.)“I’m proud to say there’s a new version of girls with a lyric change.

This is the result of me listening and taking action,” she continued. “As an influential artist I’m dedicated to being part of the challenge change I’ve been waiting to see in the world.”❤️ pic.twitter.com/QH6WufEjGh“Sp-z” is a common American colloquialism for the term “spastic,” which means something much more offensive in the UK, as Lizzo most likely learned the hard way.
